Livingston Mall its on life support
Another of New Jersey's Malls could be meeting the wrecking ball in the future, The Livingston Mall which has gone to almost nothing and a bad decline after the Covid 19 Pandemic.
History of Livingston Mall
The mall opened in 1972 with two Newark based anchors in Bamberger's and Hahne's and also Sears the non Newark anchor opened as the malls third store. First anchor change came a decade later in 1986 as Macy's rebranded Bamberger's. In 1989, Hahne's went out of business and Lord and Taylor came in and lasted till 2020 as they went out of business also in 2020, the Sears closed leaving Macy's as the last of the mohicans as in anchors and has been that way since. The mall has since been a ghost town inside as a few stores left along with a Barnes and Noble. This mall doesn't have much time left but what will happen to the property if it closes altogether?? Maybe luxury apartments or also I been hearing St Barnabas wants to build a state of the art hospital on the property so who knows what will happen.
lol they got a ad for my old job don’t miss that place whatsoever
