Paramus Park Mall it’s doing okay not dying but looking okay

Paramus third shopping center situated on rt 17

Paramus Park's history

The mall was developed by The Rouse Company which also developed Woodbridge Center and Willowbrook Mall at the time. It opened in March 1974 with Abraham and Straus or A&S and Sears a few months later that year. This mall hasn't had too many changes in anchors but 1995, Macy's opened their second store in town replacing A&S in which Macy's retired the brand on April 30th Sears closed in 2017 and replaced with specialty supermarket Stew Leonard's Also a small Fortunoff was in the mall but sold only jewerly and nothing more. This mall is doing okay not as big as Garden State Plaza or Bergen Town Center a good number of shuttered store fronts and not too many places to eat in the food court as a few places have shuttered. I ate sushi from Stew Leonard's 10 outta 10.

Then and Now A&S and Macy's

When Sears was in its prime
