Rockaway Townsquare Mall looks okay and not much people in there

Here's a look at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall

The mall opened in 1977 in Rockaway,NJ and sits off of Interstate 80. The beginning anchors were Sears, Bamberger's, Hahne's and JC Penny. Of course the mall had anchor changes throughout its history in 1986 Bamberger's converted to Macy's. In 1989 Hahne's was phased out in favor of Lord and Taylor which lasted till 2020 that store still remains vacant today. As a update the former Lord and Taylor will become a Dick's House of Sport which is opening 2 more locations in Freehold and Jersey City coming in the future. Sears also closed in 2020 and replaced with a Raymour and Flanigan furniture store. The mall was also used as a movie shoot in the 1980's for a movie called Firstborn in 1984 which had Sarah Jessica Parker in it. The mall is operated by Simon Malls.
