Quakerbridge Mall two anchors down but going strong
With its nearby location to the State Capital of Trenton is the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville.
Quakerbridge opened in 1976 with Bamberger's, Sears, Hahne's and JC Penny situated off rt 1 not far from the Pennsylvania border and Oxford Valley and Neshaminy malls. first anchor change the mall had was in 1986 when Bamberger's changed to its parent company Macy's. 1989, Hahne's was rebranded to Lord and Taylor. Sears closed in 2018 and Lord and Taylor in 2020. A expansion project for this mall that never happened was to bring two luxury anchors as Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom were proposed but did not happen. The mall received renovations with elevators and escalators as well as a food court on the upper level which was converted from a Woolworth that closed years ago. Quakerbridge seems to be doing okay
