Lehigh Valley Mall going strong
The Lehigh Valley Mall has been a successful shopping mall near Allentown, PA for almost 50 years in existence.
The Mall opened in 1976 off US 22 in Whitehall, PA with Bamberger's, JCPenny and John Wanamaker which opened in 1978. The anchor changes were Bamberger's converting to Macy's in 1986. John Wanamaker converting to Hecht's in 1995 and had a brief stay at the mall and lasted till 1997 when Strawbridge's came into mall and lasted up to 2006 when that chain merged with Macy's after getting the collection of May department store portfolio. Boscov's took over shortly. Also the mall has a Barnes and Noble as a junior anchor, Cheesecake factory in a little promenade and also has a Dave and Busters. This mall does not have a modern food court. just restaurants and eateries sprawled all over the mall. Kinda shocking that was never added to past renovations. Not all malls have to be upscale to survive. this mall has been pretty successful for the last 50 years just being basic.
what the hell ?? toys r us converted to a tesla dealer???
